Collection and Use
Collected Information: We respect your preferences concerning the collection and use of your personal data. We collect information from users to assist us in creating better website content and navigation that is most relevant and user friendly for visitors. This includes any information collected as a result of site navigation or information you provide in forms.
Donation Communications: When you make a donation or order product or services, we may need to know your name, email address, shipping and/or billing information and credit card information. This will allow us to process and fulfill your donation order. This information will only be collected as part of the donation or purchase history. VLSF may need to share some of this information with delivery services or Bank credit card processors or other similar third parties to accomplish your requested transaction (donation of purchase).
Email Use: We may also use this information to occasionally notify you about important changes to the site or apprise you of domestic violence issues which we think may be of interest. Each message we send will include information on how to unsubscribe from our mailings.
Legal Requirements: VLSF may be required to provide personally identifiable information in order to comply with legally mandated reporting, disclosure or other legal requirements.
VLSF takes security of information very seriously. We are concerned with the security of the personally identifiable information we have collected and have in place measures to prevent unauthorized access to that information. As with most internet sites, our web servers record the IP address of each visitor to the site. Tis IP address tells us which domain you visited from (for instance, google), but does not tell us your email address or other private and personal information. We use this information to help us diagnose problems with our servers, to administer the site more effectively, and to gather broad demographic information about what countries and domains our visitors hail from and their behavior on the site.
