Domestic violence is the willful intimidation, physical assault, battery, sexual assault and/or other abusive behavior as a part of a systematic pattern of power.  The Frequency and severity of domestic violence varies dramatically.

United States Statistics – 2019

Center for Disease Control & Prevention: One in every 3 women are abused by an intimate partner.

Project Sanctuary:  Annually there are 20,000 calls to domestic Violence Hotlines.

Shelter House: More than three women are murdered by their intimate partner each day.

Approximately 75% of intimate partner homicide, no matter which partner was killed, the man physically abused the women before the murder.

It is estimated up to 10 million children witness domestic violence annually.

In addition, Sixty Percent (60%) of perpetrators of intimate partners also abuse children.
